Civilian side makes good money, most jobs are union and require an apprenticeship but military experience helps cut down time in a lot of places and earns a good pay check. Theres a lot to learn and it takes time to get really good but when you do there isn't much you can't do. AT for us a lot of the time was civilian side project, we dredged a pond at a local park, we cleared and leveled spots for new roads, we clear cut, dozed, and graded a large section of a military post.
